The company reaffirms its expansion plan by adding Peru and Colombia to its network of destinations

Jumbo Tours continues with the opening of new branches in America following the roadmap established in its strategic plan. In December 2023, the group opened the doors of its new branch in Lima (Peru) and has now just opened an office in Cartagena (Colombia), strengthening its position as a leading company in the tourism sector. Under the leadership of Nicolás Ocampo as Destination Manager Colombia & Peru, through both branches, the aim is to boost the development of DMC activity in the main tourist destinations and cities of both countries, from the beaches of Paracas, the Nazca Desert, Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu in Peru, as well as from the Tatacoa Desert, Guatapé, the Coffee Region, and the Caribbean Coast of Cartagena de Indias in Colombia.

In this regard, Jònatan Casacuberta, America’s Expansion & Managing Director, ensures that “this growth is the direct result of the effective execution of the expansion strategy in America based on the guidelines outlined in the strategic plan.” These two new destinations are added to JTG’s branches in America, such as the one in the USA opened in 2022 and those in Brazil and Argentina, launched during 2023. “From the expansion department, we have conducted exhaustive market analyses, analyzed trends, and above all, we have taken into account the feedback from our clients, adjusting our operations and destinations,” he points out.

With these new openings, the group now offers its services in 8 countries in the American continent: USA, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, and Colombia, becoming the reference DMC in this continent.

Ginés Martínez, CEO of Jumbo Tours, states that the company remains focused on the development of international DMC activity, “we are extremely satisfied with our growth in different areas, especially highlighting the geographical expansion and diversification of our services in America. We are doing a great job, ensuring the quality standards of the destinations that JTG offers in all the countries worldwide where it has a presence.”

As Martínez explains, “the growth of Jumbo Tours is possible thanks to the strategic focus, continuous innovation, and efficient management of resources that drive us to advance in our goal of improving the experience of our clients. This growth is also possible thanks to the trust and support of our collaborators and the involvement of our team of professionals, aligned with the company’s vision and mission, who have allowed us to effectively implement expansion strategies.”

The company has not only strengthened its offering of destinations, services, and products but has also expanded and reinforced its MICE offer, events, and specialized services for groups, conferences, and corporate incentives. “We are excited to continue this journey of success and to continue contributing to the value, recognition, and expansion of the tourism group to which we belong, Alpitour World,” he adds.
