Ginés Martínez will continue to lead the DMC Division of the Group of which he has been CEO since 2017

With the aim of reinforcing the role of Alpitour World internationally and developing new alliances and collaborations with the leading figures in the tourism industry, both private and institutional, Gines Martínez has been appointed Global Vice President of Alliances and International Affairs.

Gabriele Burgio, President and CEO of Alpitour World, believes thatthe future involves seeking synergies and areas of collaboration that reinforce the strategic value and role that our Group plays inside and outside Italy. Thus, our growth inevitably involves strengthening relationships with our international partners, as well as collaborating closely with the Governments of current and future destinations, so we can contribute towards innovation and sustainability, which is part of our DNA, through collaborations such as the one we have underway with the UNWTO, and we are convinced that Ginés can contribute to achieving these objectives.”

Martínez is taking up a new global responsibility within the Group in which he has been working for the last 18 years at the head of Jumbo Tours, of which he has been CEO since 2017. As Martínez explains “this is a new role within our Group, and I’m taking it up with great enthusiasm, as well as with the recognition of the very high responsibility of institutionally representing an entity as relevant as Alpitour World.”

The new Vice President of Global Alliances and International Relations states that “our Group has a consolidated and growing leadership position in the Italian market. In addition, the different divisions of the Group, such as tour operations, aviation, through NEOS, hospitality, with VOI Hotels and VRetreats, travel agencies with Welcome Travel and, of course, DMC activity through Jumbo Tours and Alpitour Incoming, give us a leading presence.”

Gines Martínez, who was already part of the Executive Committee of Alpitour World, will continue with his current responsibilities as CEO of Jumbo Tours.
