The tour operator Jumbo Tours has been awarded the international ISO 27001 certification, confirming that its processes meet the highest standards of information security.

Jumbo Tours, the international DMC division of Alpitour World, is thereby reinforcing its commitment to security by ensuring the highest level of protection for its data against cyberattacks, human error, or natural disasters.

The ISO 27001 certification is an international standard that sets out the requirements for implementing, maintaining, and continually improving a high-quality Information Security Management System (ISMS), capable of protecting information and systems and managing risks through the application of appropriate controls.

Among the benefits of complying with the ISO 27001 standard are the protection of personal and corporate data, the reduction of risks and the impact of security incidents, as well as making it easier to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other regulations.

Obtaining the international ISO 27001 certification is part of Jumbo Tours’ commitment to continuous technological advancement, enabling the company to offer more than 1,000 experiences and represent leading tour operators across the global travel industry. It is another step in strengthening the company’s reputation and the trust of its clients and partners. Jumbo Tours has subsidiaries in 19 countries worldwide and a team of more than 600 employees.
